Founded in 2022 by Dr Chalmers, Electron Veterinary Consulting was created to enhance knowledge and improve radiation safety practices in the veterinary industry. Since then, Electron has grown into a trusted leader in the field, providing expert guidance and training to veterinary professionals.
Dr Nicola Chalmers BSc BVSc CRSA
Nicola completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2011 and began her career as a companion animal veterinarian. Over time, she developed a strong interest in imaging and radiation safety, leading her to become an experienced Radiation Safety Officer, overseeing radiology practices across multiple clinical sites.
In 2022, she transitioned her focus to radiation safety, she became a certified Radiation Safety Advisor with the Australasian Radiation Protection Accreditation Board in 2024.
With extensive experience in both veterinary care and radiation safety, Nicola provides expert guidance on optimizing imaging practices while ensuring compliance and protection for staff and the public. She is committed to helping veterinary teams enhance their use of imaging equipment through effective training and practical safety solutions.
